Rio Del Mar Parent Alliance--Fundraising

Fundraisers: The Parent Alliance plays a vital role supplementing the school's budget with thousands of dollars each year. Last year's fundraisers helped fund:

You can help us to maintain our current programs for your children by participating in our fundraisers, or if you prefer to make just one cash donation, forgoing the fundraisers, the suggested amount is $175/child direct donation. You may click here for a form you can print and fill out and then return to school.

E-Scrip
E-script is an easy way for everyone to contribute to our school by registering your Safeway Club card, credit cards and debit cards with eScrip. Participating merchants will contribute a percentage (2% +) of the total amount you spend directly to Rio del Mar School.
You can sign up online at escrip.com or pick up a form in the office and mail it in. Don't forget that each year you must renew your registration! This year's deadline is before the end of October!
Our school has the potential to earn $12,000 (according to eScript website) if everyone signs up! Parents, extended families, and family friend particpation can make a huge difference to Rio students.
Rio's Classified Ads
New to Rio! Try our classified ads and earn money for the school. Simply post your item for sale on our classified item website. No item too big or small. The sales price is the amount that you will donate to the Rio Del Mar Parent Alliance. For bigger items (cars, boats, RVs), your donation amount can be a percentage. Feedback is welcome; please send it to Rio's webmaster.

Restaurant Day
The Parent Alliance is planning to approach various local restaurants willing to participate in giving a percentage of total sales for one night to Rio del Mar with a goal of scheduling appoximately one restaurant per month. THE NEXT RESTAURANT NIGHT IS: Tuesday, November 27th, at Cafe Rio!
Jogging for the Arts--November
Students participate in a jog-a-thon during school hours to raise money for thier SPECTRA Arts Program. Pledge forms will be sent home with your children.
See's Candy--November 13th--deadline for orders
This is the perfect opportunitiy to stock up on holiday gifts of this high quality candy for family, friends, and co-workers. Up to 50% of the monies collected will directly benefit our kids! Information packets will be sent home with the students.
Golf Tournament, Dinner, Dance and Auction--May
May 2008 at Seascape Golf Course.
This is the biggest fundraising event of the school year. You may participate in any or all of the following ways:
Volunteer to help produce the event
Be a sponsor. Sponsorships are a great way to support Rio while promoting your business.
Come to the event. Play golf, and then attend the reception, awards dinner, auction, and dance. If you're not a golfer, that's OK! Please plan to attend the rest of the event.

Labels for Education
Don't throw away 10 cents! All you super savers, bring in your "Boxtops for Education" (trimmed, please) and place them in the receptacle in the front office. Each one is worth 10 cents. Bring any bonus coupons as well.
